Dear Legionnaires and fellow Veterans,
On behalf of the American Legion Post 524, I welcome you to our Post website. Although we are not the largest post in New Jersey, we are among the very active ones and take pride in our role in the Ocean City community. As with all volunteer organizations, our members are the backbone of our post, so we are always looking for new people to join us and lend a helping hand. The work is rewarding, and the sense of family is strong and genuine. Besides Post members, we also have support from the members of our Legion Auxiliary and the SONS of the American Legion.
We work with many organizations in our Military and Veterans’ communities to provide activities for many people, including trips to baseball games and visits to our comrades at the Vineland Veterans Home.
We proudly sponsor many Legion programs, including the American Legion Boy’s and Girl’s State and Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation programs. We are also active in Holiday Food Drives for our Ocean City families.
Again, welcome to our Post; I sincerely hope to meet in person at the Post or a Post event. If you are in the area, please stop by and say hello; we always want to make new friends. If you are a member and have not been to a Post meeting in a while stop in and see what is new. I promise that either way, you will be delighted.
